REUNION 2011 WEEKEND SET FOR MARCH 25-27, 2011

The Reunion 2011 Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that the Reunion 2011 weekend has been set for March 25-27, 2011.  The Reunion will also involve the commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of Lincoln School, founded in 1936 and an early commemoration of the Centennial of the Colegio Ward American Grammar and High School, founded in 1913.    Due to the high rates for lodging in the large international chain hotels in Buenos Aires it is anticipated that several lodging choices will be made available to the reunion attendees and their families and guests.      Although subject to change,  tentative current plans will include:
(1) Friday March 25- a reception at the school for alumni and guests,  faculty, current students and their families;
(2) Saturday March 26- an evening  dinner banquet for adults only including alumni and guests, selected current and former faculty members and staff, and dignitaries at the new high school gymnasium;
(3) Sunday March 27- a family asado type event on the school grounds involving alumni and their families/guests and possibly  the Lincoln School current  family community.

 We are working closely with Lincoln School staff to ensure a beautiful and memorable event is organized.

As with the group for Reunion 1997 it is anticipated that groups will arrive 4-5 days before the weekend so that alumni and their families can visit the Buenos Aires Metropolitan area and schedule local tours and visits to their old neighborhoods.   A Reunion 2011 interest survey has been prepared so that the Organizing Committee can get a good indication of the attendance at the reunion.  It is very important that you give us your inputs as soon as possible so we can anticipate the amount of lodging that might be needed and what side trips to plan on organizing.   Please download the survey here,  complete,  and return by email attachment or regular mail.  Valerie Vosburg Scriven '65 has graciously offered to tabulate the survey results.   If you have any general questions on the reunion please refer them to reunion2011@acsaa.org .   Additional details will be posted as they become available from the Organizing Committee.

Sincerely,
